Cutting through metal is fun

The Latvian drove the bus into the Fort and construction has begun. The first thing to do was obviously to remove the seats to see what we had to work with. Since it is a short bus space is at a premium in our new home, and all of the seats had to go. After a couple futile hours working trying to unscrew the rusted seat bolts from the floor we decided power tools were in order. We rented an angle grinder, cut out the seats and then grinded the metal flush with the floor. After getting the seats out we removed all the cushions and saved them for reasons that may or may not become clearer later. With the seats out a lot of space opened up, and we have many ideas about what to do about sleeping and eating facilities. The bus coupled with the start of run off has us pretty excited. More to come.
